Cottage Retreat in Co. Waterford, Ireland offer Ceremonial Services which can be created for any important or significant event. Ceremonial Services include Companionship and The Funeral Rite.

Companionship

The shaman is one of the few people who can truly say they have had an experience similar to the near death experience, described by at least 8 million American citizens alone that we know of. The Shaman enters the Shamanic State of Consciousness and journeys through an opening along a tunnel or pathway towards a light, emerging into a place of peace. There he or she will usually meet with spirit guides or power animals, influences connected to the higher self who will comfort support and advise him or her. Similar to man near death experiences on record. The Shaman however deliberately takes this journey and can do so easily after many travelling experiences. So it is this ability that allows him or her to accompany the dying on their death experience until they reach that place at the end of the tunnel.

The Funeral Rite

This is a wonderful celebration of the life of the deceased person, recent or otherwise. It is a coming together to mourn, but also and mostly to celebrate the life that has ended and to respectfully lay to rest the body of the soul that has passed on. To return it to the four elements from which it was so wonderfully created by the Father.

The ceremony can be designed by myself, the deceased in anticipation or by family and friends. It is always, solemn but joyful.
