Pat lives an attitude & a life style that has
its origins firmly rooted in Shamanism. The role of
Pastoral Shaman, means being available to tend to all
the spiritual and pastoral needs of those who seek
comfort, support and learning.
A vocation to pursue
a life based in service to the non-ordinary needs of
all things on the planet and beyond, is a great
privilege indeed. Pat lives close to the land;
they are beekeepers, raise hens for fresh eggs, and
they grow their own veg’ and fruit. Much of their
food is harvested from the wild. All living things
are afforded great respect and the opportunity to
grow and be fulfilled at 'Cottage Retreat'. Over the
years Pat had a keen interest in spiritual matters
in fact it was this interest that lead to his
education with the Salesian order at Ballinakill.
Here during his formative years he developed a
magical relationship with crystals and what might be
called the faerie world. In adult life he formalised
this interest by pursuing studies and workshops in
areas dealing with the non physical aspects of all
life on the planet including the planet itself.
There have been many occasions during his life that
Pat has been less than proud of his behaviour. These
times remind him of his humanity and motivate him to
learn more about the nature of his personal journey.
The striving to go beyond five sensory perception
and the limitations of the rational mind will always
be a part of his path. |
